Dr. S. M. Vijayarajan is working as an Associate Professor and head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NPR College of Engineering & Technology, Natham.

He received his U.G degree from Bharath Niketan Engineering College, Aundi Patty affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University in 2002 and received his P.G(M. E) in Applied Electronics from RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai in 2007. He was awarded a Ph.D in Information Communication Engineering (ICE) from Anna University, Chennai in 2021.

From 2002 he was involved in Teaching and Research development activities. He has more than 19 years of teaching experience.

He has received the Academic Excellence Award from the Technical Research Publications, Chennai. He has also acted as a reviewer in reputed journals and in various IEEE conferences (Bangalore Section)

His research interests include Medical image processing, VLSI, Networks, Communication and Embedded systems. He published more research papers in reputed international and national journals. He has published 6 patents and 1 book chapter. He has delivered many lectures. He is a lite member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and a fellow member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE).
