About ACM

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a US-based international learned society for computing. It was founded in 1947 and is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society. The ACM is a non-profit professional membership group, reporting nearly 110,000 student and professional members as of 2022. Its headquarters are in New York City.

The ACM is an umbrella organization for academic and scholarly interests in computer science (informatics). Its motto is "Advancing Computing as a Science & Profession".

About ACM at NPR College of Engineering and Technology:

ACM at NPR College of Engineering and Technology is focused on fostering creativity and innovation, with the vision of developing future tech leaders who will redefine the boundaries of computing. Our mission is to provide members with opportunities to gain practical skills through immersive experiences such as coding competitions, hackathons, and collaborative projects.

To achieve this, ACM at NPRCET actively organizes events that challenge students to sharpen their problem-solving skills. Additionally, we offer study groups and coding sessions to help members navigate difficult coursework, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in the fast-evolving tech landscape.

The NPR College of Engineering and Technology organized  a Inaugural Ceremony of the NPRCET ACM Student Chapter for their students in the Thiruvalluvar Hall on 03.02.2025 at 10:00 a.m.
