ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science stamped its print in NPR Arts & Science fraternity from 2005 with the aim to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out software development and to take up challenges in research. It has a dedicated team of Teaching Faculty and student strength of 213.

The Vision of the department is to enable India’s excellence in the world of computer science and automation.  With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation the department has always produced quality professionals, who are holding important positions in information technology industry in India and abroad.

All graduates find excellent placements in research oriented industries and top ranking global companies.

We steadily pace towards the mission of “We Can, We Will, We Should”.

OBJECTIVES

  • To prepare the students to manage the software components in a computer independently and to be a Programmer.
  • To motivate the students to take up higher studies in Computer Science and other streams.

ELIGIBILITY

ELIGIBILITY FOR M.Sc.(CS)

  • Students who studied B.Sc.(CS), BCA & B.Sc.(IT) with Mathematics in +2 level as per the revised admission normsfrom the academic year 2018-2019 in the 10 + 2 +3 stream.
  • The students shall undergo the prescribed course of study for a period of not less than two academic years ( Four semesters).
  • A Candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree on completion of the prescribed course of study and passing all the prescribed external examinations.
  • Attendance progress, internal examinations, conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution shall be required for taking the external examination.
  • The passing minimum and the ranking are as per the existing rule of the Choice Based Credit System for the affiliated college of the University.
